Tryout For 2022’s Most Innovative Smartphones
Smartphones are awesome, it’s official. They do so much and the way we can design them to specialize in different aspects is awesome. There’s so much variety, sometimes that we need some help, hence our latest tryout with the most innovative smartphones from 2022. What are the new smartphones we have up for Tryout right now, and more importantly, how can you join? Keep reading to find out!
2022 Has Been Super Innovative
We went and got the four most innovative phones of 2022 that we’ve been interested in for a while. To get a good feel for different styles that are available to us now, we got 4 very different smartphones, one of each. A gaming smartphone, a new trend-setting smartphone, an amazing experience-focused daily driver, and a smartphone focused on productivity. So 4 lucky people will be selected and each one will try a different smartphone.
The Phones
REDMAGIC 7S Pro
It is the most powerful gaming smartphone, the REDMAGIC 7S Pro. We have already been running a Tryout for the Lords Mobile edition a week ago. Powered by the super powerful and efficient Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and with up to 18GB of RAM, it is the most powerful gaming smartphone. With its focus on gaming, it has its weaknesses compared to other smartphones like weaker cameras, but it has a fairly clean OS and with all that power, you can do just about anything on this smartphone.
Nothing Phone(1)
For our trend-setting designers out there, the Nothing Phone(1) is right up your alley to try out.
The nothing phone isn’t the most powerful, fastest, or cheapest smartphone out there, but it’s possibly the most enjoyably well-designed. It sits very comfortably in the middle range in just about every benchmark, but it does it so stylishly, that you are likely not to notice. Its OS is subtly stylish and runs cleanly without any bloatware really. It also still boasts 5G and a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chip. The real highlight though is the trendy design of the phone with its transparent back and the complex LED let glyph that is customizable to give different means based on what parts light up and in what pattern. We are totally expecting this to be a fun conversation starter.
ZTE Axon 40 Ultra
For a flagship phone from 2022, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more experience-focused phone than the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra we think. It has flagship power with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and flagship level cameras, making it a great smartphone to have with you on holiday or any day. But the user experience really shines when you use the smartphone after all and on the Axon 40 Ultra, they took that to heart by making sure you had an awesome, true full-screen experience by using an under-display camera to remove the camera hole punch. In an era where everyone has accepted that there will be a notch or hole punch, to the point of making it have its interface, it’s nice to find ZTE still believes that the best way to watch a movie is in full screen and without obstructions.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4
This is not the first folding phone we’ve seen over the years, but Samsung has seemed to perfect the design with the Galaxy Z Fold 4. It may not be that different overall from Fold 3, but the little things that they have done to improve it look to be 100%, the right things to focus on to give the fold a chance to make it amazing. It’s a beefy device with 12GB RAM and up to 1T of memory, which is mind-boggling to my 90s kid brain. It keeps all of the fun features the Fold 3 had like playing up to 3 apps at once, but they have gone and improved the user experience by making the under-display camera on the big tablet screen harder to see. The fold crease is less obvious, they made the bezels on the small outside screen thinner to give you more screen space, AND they upgraded the main cameras. I’m sure there is more like the new taskbar feature but I don’t want to ruin the sense of exploration for our lucky tester.
Apply And Test A Phone
To put your name in for a chance to be one of the testers, just apply to the phone of your choice and wait to hear if you have been selected. Now, if you have been selected, you must give a review of the device within 2 weeks of receiving the device. Be sure to read our Review Guideline post so you have the best chance of creating the best review you can.
Good luck to everyone that applies for their desired innovative smartphone of 2022! We’re looking forward to seeing what you think of them.
